Mardi Gras / French Carnival
Two weeks of celebration at the carnival village open nightly with local entertainment and talented shows, that includes three days of parades in the streets of Marigot and ends with a black in white jump up and the burning of king vaval.

March

The Heineken Regatta
The Heineken Regatta, held the first weekend in March, features competitions for racing yachts, large sailboats and small multihulls.

April

St. Maarten Carnival
Sint Maarten's Carnival usually begins the second week after Easter and lasts for two weeks, with steel band competitions, jump-ups, calypso concerts, beauty contests and costume parades.

May

Funny festival
A week of stage performance by renowned comedians on the French side.

Captain Oliver's & Carib Beer Regatta
Regatta including a wide range of monocoques & multicoques sailing around the island in a festive and competitive atmosphere.

Nautical Fest
A nautical fair, a weekend of nautical activities, demonstration of water sports & musical entertainment.

Summer Heat Music Festival
A weekend of musical entertainment.

Film Festival
A weekend of movies on display in an outdoor atmosphere in the various villages on the French side.
